Description: Transform your garden with our permaculture Planting Service! Our experienced team will handle the entire planting process, ensuring each plant is given the best start for a fruitful future.

We start with Understory Trees as the core of your project. Just select the number of Trees you want planted, and we'll do the rest. In our process of Permaculture Design, we treat each Fruit bearing Plant with its own system, with the goal of integrating surrounding ecosystems and habitat to compliment the core yield of the fruit tree beyond typical companion planting by stacking functions.

Our goal is to create a sustainable system for generational yields by eliminating single points of failure across your entire property. For planting as a service, we can meet the demands of your project, while integrating our expertise simultaneously, and we will provide a list of companion species and dynamic accumulators (Like nitrogen, Phosphorous, and Potassium(NPK) Fixing Plants) to support your system!

On-boarding & Ordering Instructions:

Step 1:

To begin,

Use the quantity selector to choose how many TREES you'd like planted.

(This is a required enrollment fee, and will be deducted from your total invoice)

Step 2: 

You will be contacted via phone to discuss:

• Your project needs
• Specific species being planted
• Any additional species you have to be planted. (Shrubs, Herbs, Companions, Etc.)
• Billing for Mileage, if applicable
• Any additional services you'd like included
• Scheduling an on-site assessment of your projects planting locations (Required)

Step 3:

We will deliver a finalized invoice after reviewing your order details and project specifics over the phone with you. Due to the nature of Planting Services, The invoice must be paid in full prior to work commencement to Guarantee service. 

• Look for an Email from Haven Permaculture containing your initial invoice
• Once paid, your local installer will contact you to arrangement a work start date
• Assuming all materials and invoices have been paid, we will arrive and complete the planting project in a timely fashion. 

Step 4:

One of our Certified Permaculture Designers will confirm dates and meet with you in person to observe and interact with your project and planting locations as the initial site assessment.

• Please have all your project details ready to discuss with our designer, such as:
• Plant Species for your whole project
• Your Permaculture Design and installation papers (if Applicable)
• Planting Locations you prefer (We will do our best to adhere to this as suitable)
• Soil test results, if applicable
• Any Specific details you'd like to discuss with our designer during your site assessment.

Step 5:

Work commencement. We'll begin the process as outlined in your initial invoice Email.

• You Must have all materials, Vegetation, and Supplies ready and on-site ahead of work commencement for your installer to work effectively. Please Coordinate with your designer for securing recommended supplies at time of assessment.
• Your installer will arrive on-site and begin preparations and planting procedures.
• When finished, you will be billed for any additional expenses accrued
• (No additional billing will be added or expected without your explicit approval.)

Professional Planting Services for Your Pre-Purchased Food Forest Plants:

Maximize the potential of your pre-purchased fruit trees and plants with our specialized planting services. Our expertise ensures each layer of your food forest is meticulously established for optimal growth and sustainability:

• • Canopy Layer Planting: $100 per tree

    • For the large fruit or nut trees forming the upper canopy of your food forest. Typically Nut, Shade, Syrup, and Ornamental Trees.
    • Requires an element of professional design, including additional billing for on-site assessment and landscape reading from our approved Designers to ensure the success of surrounding vegetation and landscaping. ($200 per site visit and travel billed separately)
      
      

  • Understory Layer Planting: $47 per tree

    • Expert planting for smaller, understory fruit trees to ensure proper growth under the canopy's shade. Typically Fruit Trees like apple, pear, plum, peach, or highbush Varieties such as Elderberry.
      
      

  • Shrub Layer Planting: $18 per shrub

    • Precise planting of berry-producing shrubs to enhance your garden's biodiversity and beauty. Typically consists of plants like Raspberry, Blueberry, Blackberry, Honeyberry, or flowering pollination plants.
      
      

  • Herbaceous Layer Planting: $8 per plant

    • Installation of perennial herbs, enriching your garden with flavors and natural remedies that contribute to the whole system with: Pest Prevention, Pollinator Attraction, Medicinal Qualities, and Soil Health
      
      

  • Ground Cover Layer Planting: $4 per plant

    • Establishment of ground-covering plants to maintain soil health and weed suppression. (Intended to Replace mulch over time)
      
      

  • Rhizosphere Layer Planting: $5 per square foot

    • Careful planting of root crops to boost below-ground biodiversity and soil structure.

  • Vine Layer Planting: $13 per plant

    • Integration of climbing plants, utilizing vertical space for an abundant harvest.

  • Aquatic/Wetland Layer Planting: $22 per plant

    • Specialized planting in moist areas to create a balanced and productive water garden section.

  • Vertical Layer Planting: $13 per plant

    • Installing climbers and vines to enhance the use of fences, trellises, and other vertical spaces.

Please note: The cost covers planting labor and time services only. Trees, companion plants, Supports, protective materials, and any specific soil amendments or mulches are to be sold separately, or provided by the client.

Travel Costs for Planting Service (Billed Separately):

Our service includes free travel within a 30-mile radius of our base location (Trenton, Missouri).

Beyond this, additional travel costs are as follows to cover transportation and time:

• 31-60 miles: $50
• 61-90 miles: $100
• 91-120 miles: $150

We are not a copy paste service, and will not be held accountable for the results of planting generic orchard or garden plans, in place of our permaculture design services and 5 step process. Each tree's location is carefully selected based on soil conditions, sunlight, water availability, and its relationship with surrounding elements of the ecosystem.
• Client Involvement: While you may not be familiar with permaculture, we encourage your involvement and curiosity. Our goal is to provide not just a service, but also education on the benefits and principles of permaculture design.
• Speed & Accuracy: While our professional services and skills are applied to ensure the best success and diversity of your ecosystem, IF you are unfamiliar with Permaculture, agroforestry, or other terms we use daily, please rest assured we would rather see fruit trees in every yard and farm, than be deterred by a uniform mundane planting plan or landscape request. We will assist however we can with your planting goals to the best of our abilities and professional reach.
